Christmas Business Gifts
0 Trackbacks
It's getting close to that time of year when businesses are thinking about gifting for Christmas, to remind those crucial customers, partners, stakeholders and staff that they are an important element of the business and its success.  A thank you if you like for the continued relationship that benefits both parties.

I am always surprised just how some companies see their staff as somehow being different because they are on the payroll.  Your customers give you money and some degree of loyalty, but your staff give you heart and minds. Getting the most from both parts of the relationship (supply and demand), is a question of how you treat the people at both ends including your staff.  Assuming you have the right culture good gifts are an excellent part of building on that relationship.

If you are considering such gifts, depending on your budget you have a number of options available to you;

1) Select from ready made gifts sets.

PROS: These are a cost effective solution and usually get you more product for your money.

CONS: You won't get exactly what you want in terms of colours, packaging, styles, branding etc.

2) Have a gift set custom made for you.

PROS: Can select from the complete list of standard gifts available (in Qtable's case its over 100,000's of itmes) or even have individual items custom made.  Custom made packaging and presentation cases.  More branding and colours choices, including pantone matching.

CONS: Its more expensive than a pre-made set.

By exploring your projects branding, budget and objectives; gifts and packaging can be selected to meet your specific requirements whether standard or custom.

Promotional Advertising Products Quote Of The Day
0 Trackbacks

This quote made me smile and reminded me of the important part that marketing, advertising and promotion plays on maintaining business.

During a flight, American chewing gum king Philip Wrigley was asked: “Tell me, Mr Wrigley, why don’t you stop advertising? The whole world buys your chewing gum, and you could save a fortune doing it!“

Wrigley answered: “We reached a cruising altitude of 6,000 metres some time ago. Do you seriously suggest that I go into the cockpit and tell the pilot to switch off the engines to save fuel?“

(Philip Wrigley, American industrialist)

Of course there is wasteful marketing, advertising and promotion and Albert Einstein once said “Not everything that counts can be measured. Not everything that can be measured counts.”  I agree with him when you’re talking about really big concepts such as time and space, but for things we actually do understand and are proven they count far more if you can measure what they do.

It’s amazing that in marketing few actually do bother to measure.  Even Lord Leverhulme the British founder of Unilever and philanthropist said: “Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted, and the problem is I do not know which half”.

Promotional Products - Best Way To Reach Audiences Positively
0 Trackbacks

1,000 marketers have voted the promotional products channel as one of the best ways to reach targeted audiences with a single campaign spend while contributing towards building a positive relationship.

The survey, conducted in November for the Promotional Products Association International, asked buyers to compare the medium against other sales and marketing channels such as TV ads, direct mail, newspapers, consumer magazines, trade publications, the Internet and social media on a number of key attributes.

Attributes measured included;

  • Long term memorability
  • Flexibility of spend
  • Encouraging loyalty
  • Reaching sudiences without annoying them
  • Driving traffic - in stores, shows, events
  • The best cost per thousand (CPM) for reaching specialty or niche audiences
  • Best CPM for mass audiences
  • Best possibilities for message customisation

The survey (conducted by Glenrich Business Studies and Louisiana State University), found respondents voting promotional products as the leading medium in five of those eight categories, losing out only on the two CPM attributes and the ability to customise messages.

Buyers gave the highest marks to promotional products as a way to make the most memorable impact on an audience with a single promotional spend, giving the channel a mean 3.8 points out of 5 on that score. They also gave promotional products a 3.9 rating for reaching an audience without risking offense or becoming a nuisance.

Asked to choose the most important from a list of attributes commonly linked to using promotional products in campaigns, the buyers said they considered “important” or “very important” the ability to reach target audiences efficiently, the flexibility to fit a medium to a budget, and the ability to promote loyalty or repeat business.

Get your campaign ahead with promotional headgear

red_bull_racing_promotional_capIn medieval times, there was a simple way to distinguish between the gentry and the hoi polloi.

Simply, a covered head meant respectability and an uncovered ones stood for commoners...."shock"!!.  As a result, head gear was and still is much sought after.

Fortuntaly the head-wear discrimination war has ended (phew, I here you sigh).
